Bánh Mì Shop is a coming soon Vietnamese sandwich shop in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

## What We Are

We make authentic bánh mì the old way. House-made pâté, fresh-baked Vietnamese baguette, pickled daikon and carrot, char siu pork, fresh herbs and chilli. We are a group of good mates with fifteen years in hospitality who have been eating bánh mì in Vietnam for years. We are looking for our first Sydney location.

## Our Story

The bánh mì sandwich was born in Saigon in 1954 when nearly one million Northerners fled south and their recipes collided with the French colonial baguette. Lê Minh Ngọc and Nguyễn Thị Tịnh opened Hòa Mã in 1958 — the first dedicated bánh mì shop. The Oxford English Dictionary added "bánh mì" in 2011. We are building on that history.
